This is what we bought on the first day from the drugstores at Tanukikoji shopping arcade. This is only the first day! We have done our homework so we got some ideas what to buy. Personally, I felt you really need to do the homework unless you could read Japanese. Even though you could read, you might not have the time to study each item. So basically I just grabbed what looks familiar into my basket especially those recommended in the Taiwanese popular 女人我最大 TV show.
Some of these products are not available in Malaysia. Maybe there will be selling in this store just open in MidValley which having the same name as the TV show in the future.
We went to 2 drugstores at Tanukikoji shopping arcade which both also located on Block 3. As mentioned before, the red signage will waive the 5% tax for purchases over ¥5,000 in single receipt. While the yellow signage (bigger than the other one) having a 30% discount promotion on all KOSE products during that day. The prices stated below are before discount. Let have a short intro here, from top left onwards...
1. DARIYA bangs magic carpet日本無痕瀏海便利魔法氈 ¥248
May be its just good for bangs only. I use it to hold my side hair but can’t hold long.
2. KOSE Lotion Mask (14 pcs) 水敷容 ¥420
Paper tablets that transform into skin soothing facial masks when soaked into KOSE lotion. The paper will expand as it absorbs the lotion into a full paper mask. So buy a bigger size lotion as you could finish it very fast. Not bad for a hydration mask as it leaves my skin soft and supple after using it.
3. Japan Cezanne UV dual foundation EX SPF18 PA++ ¥525 (refill pack ¥399)
It claimed to provide flawless look but naturally and selling hot in Japan. It could be dry or wet use.
4. Yanagiya Essence for Princess Perfect Hair日本柳屋玫瑰公主護髮美容液 ¥780
It tames your wild hair and provides moisture. No greasy feeling and no need to rinse after applying. My sis likes this. It was recommended by Tony in the Ladies First 女人我最大 TV show. 含有天然玫瑰萃取、白金奈米膠原保濕成分，以及具修護功效的珍珠萃取、同時達到絲柔滑順的絲蛋白成分，讓秀髮呈現高質感柔順光澤，針對各種受損髮、毛燥髮質，能深層滲透髮芯鎖住水分、滋潤。能有效預防頭髮分岔、毛燥糾結、斷裂，擁有絲緞般光澤動人秀髮。
5. KOSE Seikisho Perfect Cleansing oil 180ml 清肌晶淨透潔顏油
I like KOSE as it formulated with a combination of herb extracts. This should effectively remove makeup and deeply cleanses pores. It does not leave an oily feeling after rinse with water. I really hate those that leave a layer of oil on your face after rinse with water.
6. KOSE Sekkisei Lotion 500ml 雪肌精 ¥9,450
It gives moisture to your skin with no greasy residue. Pour into cotton pad and pat gently or use it with lotion mask. The package below is the 360ml ¥7,875. I don’t think they are selling 500ml in Malaysia. It’s on promotional offer with free masks and lotion in sachet.
7. KOSE Junkisui White Lift Serum (Body) 250mL 純肌粹植物淨化美體露 ¥2,100
Well, just to pamper myself in this lightweight body lotion formulated with potent skin brightening and firming botanicals from Asia. Massaging action combined with botanical extracts enhances blood circulation for more resilient and radiant skin. Hopefully is really works as it claimed.
8. KOSE Junkisui Pure Body Wash Body Cleanser 500ml 純肌粹植物淨化沐浴乳 ¥1,890
This is the same range with item 7. Before applying the body lotion, of course, you need a good body wash that removes dirt and purify skin. It also formulated with various Japanese and Chinese herb extracts to enhance blood circulation and detoxify. It also claimed to help in the removal of waste to provide brighter and firmer skin.
9. Meiji Amino Collagen (Refill pack available but not in Malaysia)
I first bought this in the Japan Food Fair held at Lot 10 and it costs me RM160 per can. You know how much it costs in Japan –-> ¥1,980 only. It contains 5,000 mg of low molecular-weight, fish-derived collagen peptides, a quantity which the body can absorb easily on a daily basis. It could be mixed in any drinks either hot or cold.
10. ROHTO Acnes Medicated UV tint milk SPF50+, PA++ 淨痘隔離乳 ¥698
This UV lotion is in skin-coloured that could be used as pre-makeup foundation. No greasy feeling after applying and easily absorbs. Especially suitable for oily skin type with acne problem. 超級清爽不油膩，不會造成臉上毛孔的負擔. SPF50+ PA++ 超耐曬卻不油膩，十分清爽，呈現自然膚色，所以使用後非常潤色，肌膚變得很有光澤度.
11. Japan Bison KYUPORES COOL Essence for Pores (Blue) 日本Bison角栓小鼻緊緻冰鎮乳 ¥798

Apply the hot one on your nose areas and massage. The cream will get warm and open up the pores to remove the whitehead, blackhead and dirt easily. 13. KOSE Seikisho Mask White 75ml 清肌晶美白黑面膜 ¥1,890
This black mask (peel off type) helps increase clarity and adds radiance to skin. It helps remove dirt, impurities and dullness to enhance translucency of your skin. Recommended in Ladies First 女人我最大 TV show too.
14. KOSE Sekkisei White Powder Wash 100g 洗顏粉
Powder wash with herb extracts. This is exactly the same like our clothes detergent powder. The only difference is we use this to wash our face instead. Pour the powder into your palm and mix with water to create foam and then apply to your face. I don’t about the others but this is the first time I ever heard of powder face cleanser.
15. KOSE Astalution Essence ¥5,250 (free 2 packs eye mask) 高絲 AST活顏抗皺精華液 + 2包高濃度添加蝦紅素外，更添加大量膠原蛋白的布質眼膜。
It contains the main ingredient of nature-sourced Astaxanthin 蝦紅素 that effectively fighting wrinkles and bring fresh resilience and firmness back to the skin around the eyes, mouth and face line. The essence is in thick orange coloured. Studies suggest that astaxanthin can be more than 1000 times more effective as antioxidant than vitamin E and Niu Er was saying that Astaxanthin is 500 times more effective than Q10. How to resist such a good thing. So bought a bottle and free 2 pieces of eye mask. I think the essence is selling around RM150 at KOSE counter in Malaysia. Within this range is the eye mask selling at RM98 per box (6 packs).
16. Nail clipper ¥420Heard that Japan nail clipper is sharper and better quality.
17. Shiseido Lip Gloss ¥399
Wanted to buy the one available only in Hokkaido that is very good for dry lips. This is the wrong one and I only realized it 3 or 4 days later /shock .
18. Sony CP Curvy Lip Gloss 糖果保濕唇蜜 ¥980
Moisturising lip gloss that was shown in the 女人我最大 TV show. It comes in 4 colours and I have chosen the clear one. The texture is a bit thick and sticky but still ok with me. It gives you the watery lip effect. I saw this being sold in 女人我最大 shop at the MidValley for more than RM50. 內含大豆萃取精華、母菊萃取精華 --- 能夠持續保濕、滋潤嬌嫩的雙唇
19. SANA Japan pore vacuum For Nose Area 角栓摩洛哥火山熱感膜 ¥945
Want to get rid of black head and dirt from your nose area? Try this. Apply on the affected area especially around the nose, use a wet finger and massage and the water will heat up the product to open up your pores and thus removing the dirt and impurities easily. But remember to apply something to close the pores back. 珍貴摩洛哥火山溶岩泥(吸附皮脂)+ 金縷梅(毛孔緊緻) 利用熱溶解原理，一遇水立即產生驚人的溫熱感。 順勢將粉刺逐漸軟化溶解讓造成毛孔阻塞的污垢一並帶走，不用擠只要30秒。
20. Pdc Skin Laminate Moisturizer - Moist Ex (184% / 231%) 瞬間保水潤澤下地 ¥2,310
Apply last in your skincare routine as it forms an invisible sheet mask to keep your make-up on for whole day as well as provides moisture to your skin. Good for dry skin and non-greasy texture.

Both added coenzyme Q10 that helps repair the elasticity of the skin from the inside to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Not many hand creams contain this ingredient. 23. ROHTO Mentholatum AD Cream ¥627(50g) ¥732(90g)
This is the only medication cream I bought in Japan. I came across a lot of positive comments about this cream. It helps relieve itching of dry skin and reduce skin inflammation. This could be used on dermatitis, rash, urticaria (hives), insect bites, eczema, sore, heat rash and chilblain. I find it‘s effective in stopping itchiness.
